WE’VE BEEN INSPECTED
Care Quality Commission (CQC), is the independent regulator of health and adult social care in England. They make sure health and social care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care and encourage care services to improve.
What did this mean for My Homecare “Durham”?
They inspected our service which provides support to 122 people with learning disabilities, autistic people and people with other needs who live in their own homes.
How do they score services?
Inspections seek to answer five key questions:
Is the service safe?
Is it effective?
Is it caring?
Is it responsive to service user needs?
Is it well-led?
Each of these questions is rated according to a four-point scale: Outstanding, Good, Requires Improvement, Inadequate. There is no category for ‘satisfactory.’
How did My Homecare “Durham” score?
Our services were rated as GOOD in all areas, meaning we are GOOD in the following:
SAFE
EFFECTIVE
CARING
RESPONSIVE
WELL LED
It has been a very busy 12 months with challenges along the way, collectively caring for 122 service users and managing a growing team of 180+ team members is no mean fete but as always we got stuck in and give it our all, fantastic result for both My Homecare Assistance and My Homecare Supported Living & Outreach
